Dr. Kabot

With more than 22 years in private orthodontic practice, G. Michael  Kabot, D.D.S.,M.S., possesses outstanding credentials that instill confidence in children and adults.  A graduate of Albion College and the University of Detroit School of Dentistry, Dr. Kabot also completed a general practice residency at Sinai Hospital, where he worked with many different specialists prior to his orthodontic residency.   "The experience in the general practice residency was priceless," says Dr. Kabot, who is also a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics.  " I use the part of my education every day in my office."

Dr. Kabot’s  goal is to provide his patients with the highest quality Orthodontics and Functional Orthopedics available, at a fair and reasonable price.   "We run a very efficient practice," says Dr. Kabot, whose office follows a "no waiting" policy.  Our average waiting time is approximately 3 minutes!   "Our entire staff takes great pride in providing excellent customer service."

The modern, open office is comfortable, and it’s close to being completely digital and paperless.  Many members of Dr. Kabot’s  own family, including his three sons, enhance the patient-friendly atmosphere.  Dr. Kabot’s  wife, Christina, has helped manage his two offices for over 20 years.  She also owns and operates, TK Orthodontic Laboratories, an in house lab that can make appliances within 24 hours in emergency situations.

"The greatest advancement in the last 20 -30 years has been the development Early  Interceptive Orthodontics and  Functional Orthopedics.   By using functional appliances, we can help young children grow  and develop properly."  Dr. Kabot says, "Half of our practice is 7-10 year old patients."  These children actually avoid many of the aggressive orthodontic treatments that include head gear, extractions, jaw surgery, and the famous 3-4 years of braces."

Dr. Kabot has even influenced the next generation of dentists and orthodontists.  "To date, we have had nine of our patients become dentists, and one on his way to become an orthodontist."  His office provides a professional  life experience and relationship, not just orthodontics!  They are deeply involved with our patients, local charities, schools and communities.
